What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga therapy is the application of yoga practices to alleviate physical and mental health conditions with the view of promoting self-care and encouraging overall well-being. In yoga therapy we are using specific yoga practices and their known benefits to help alleviate or improve mental and physical ailments.
Together we will discover powerful tools to guide you back into your body so you can start making shifts to live a more peaceful, balanced and connected life.
How could an individual session look like?
Yoga Therapy is meeting you right where you are, and it’s a practice for everybody - you don’t need any previous experience, body type, age, gender, background etc. You are very welcome just as you are. I offer both courses and individual yoga therapy sessions.
During an individual session, we will work therapeutically with you and your needs. This includes combining some of the following tools:
Self-compassion focused practices
Resourcing techniques for mental and emotional balance
Movement and postures (asana)
Releasing physical tension through massage balls
Breathing practices (pranayama)
Meditation
Intention setting and affirmations
Journalling and reflection
Education regarding pain, nervous system regulation and more.
Guided relaxation and yoga nidra
Booking
Please book a 90 minute intake as the first session.
Following sessions will be 75 min. Upon booking your first session, you will be sent an intake form to complete in advance of the appointment.
The sessions are usually held one-on-one, but can also be done together with a partner/friend/family member etc.
Every person added adds 500 kr to the price.
Sessions must be cancelled with 24 hours notice in order to receive a refund.
By scheduling an appointment you agree to the cancellation policy.
